Help for Teachers
The exciting action of this biblical 3D adventure-action game will captivate its audience for many hours and gives them access to the message of the Bible and the personality of Moses.
The game is based on the passages about Moses and the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt found in the books of Exodus to Deuteronomy in the Bible. The content is presented in seven consecutive levels, each building on the previous one. However, the Bible is not merely a source of content: it has a fundamental role in the layout and unfolding of the game.
At the heart of each level is a key stage of either Moses’ life or the Israelites’ Exodus from Egypt. This means that, while playing the game, the players follow the biblical story and become acquainted with the main events and aspects of the Exodus and with the most important biblical texts.
As they search for the Professor, the players encounter a wide range of objects, artefacts, messages, notes, letters, Bible texts, etc., which demonstrate Professor Fog’s preoccupation with biblical tradition. Through these objects, the players receive important background information about biblical events and hints about the significance of biblical texts for our time. This makes their encounter with the Bible both fun and relevant to contemporary life.
Because it presents biblical stories in an exciting way, the "Tomb of Moses" can be used by teachers and youth leaders as captivating object lessons for individuals and groups alike. Targeted questions about specific events and people can be asked and important pieces of information that the game touches on can be picked up again and reviewed in more detail. It also offers the opportunity to compare biblical texts. After playing the game, students will read the biblical texts with greater interest and increased awareness.
